Recently I had quite a scare when I thought all my photos on my memory card that included J's birthday bash on it was lost. I was taking photos when all of a sudden, the words "Memory Card cannot be used" or something similar that showed up on my camera LCD. I quickly took out the card, reinserted it, and luckily the photos showed up. But when it came time to download the photos, many of them were corrupt.
I began looking into the reason why my card could be going bad. I think I need to reformat it, according to some forums I've read, and I also discovered a great program (free) that helped me to recover most of my corrupt photos.
Zero Assumption Recovery did a great job, and it was very easy to install. I also found out there are many options out there on recovering your photos on bad cards, but I've yet to test them out. Let me know if you have a favorite!

The Perfect Gift For the Expecting Mom
I like food, a lot, but I'd have to say my favorite hobby is scrapbooking. For scrapbookers who are also moms, you know what it's like to try to catch up on your kids' albums. Basically, it never happens. Or does it? Becky Higgins, a contributor to my favorite scrapbooking magazine Creating Keepsakes, has created a new kit to help the new mom scrap every aspect of her baby. Here's Becky in a video to show you what's in the kit.
These kits are limited editions only, which means you should order yours now. A similar kit from Becky made for the school years sold out in one day and are now being sold on ebay for about 60 dollars a kit. I know because I just sold one of my cousin's leftover kits for that much.

Why Part Deux?
Initially, my original blog was suppose to cover everything from food to hobbies and the likes, but as my posts on the original site increased and pretty much every one of them focused on food, it felt strange when it came time to post something about scrapbooking.
So I felt compelled to create a site for my non-food posts, and so here it is. Enjoy!
